Why the In-Between Moments are the Best Moments
There is a certain magic in the moments you didn't plan. It’s the split second a toddler giggles at a secret joke, the way a couple leans into each other when they think the camera isn't looking, and the loud, unbridled laughter that happens when things go "wrong." While there is always a time and place for a classic portrait where everyone is looking at the lens, the photos that usually end up on the mantle are the ones where your true personalities shine through.
The Balance of Poses and Play: I’ll let you in on a secret: the best "candid" shots often happen right after a pose! We might start with everyone together, but then I’ll encourage you to play, whisper, or just be. Poses give us a starting point, but having fun is the priority. When we prioritize joy over perfection, the stiff shoulders drop, the "camera smiles" disappear, and we get to see the real you. These are the images that feel like a breath of fresh air—honest, real, and full of life.
Capturing the "Real" You: Choosing a session focused on candid interaction means choosing a stress-free experience. You don't have to worry about your kids sitting perfectly still or your partner having the "right" expression. My job is to document the way you actually love each other. I want you to look back at your gallery and not just see a pretty picture, but hear the laughter and feel the warmth of that moment. Don't worry about being "picture perfect" start being "perfectly yourselves."
